the benefits of boxing
When I started my blog back in 2016, I was very much focussed on fitness as a subject and only really ever wrote about fitness and fitness-related things. A lot has changed since then but looking back at some of the blog posts I wrote back then, although I wasn't offering advice as such, I was discussing fitness and the benefits of some types of workout styles.
Now that I am a qualifies personal trainer I wanted to re-visit some of these blog posts and kind of revive them with some more qualified advice as well as of course the fun stuff. In this post I discussed boxing and the benefits this has.
Back then I wrote-
"Boxing is something that has recently become a lot more popular within the fitness industry and is being used a lot more in peoples workout regimes. Many people I follow on Instagram have taken to boxing and are raving about how much they enjoy it and how they plan to continue using it within their own workout routines. I have taken part in boxing classes and I can safely say I totally understand why people are loving it...4 years since I started and I can definitely say it is one of, if not my favourite form of training"
Back then I loved boxing and although I still do, I don't practice this weekly like I used to. However I do now teach boxing as part of a class I teach twice a week called Box & Bells; this combines boxing with weighted exercises usually using kettlebells or dumbbells.
So from a more mature and a more qualified point of view, what are the benefits of boxing?!
