The New Shaker in my Life: PROMiXX 2.0*
Protein shakes and the shakers themselves are something that have been around for a very long time. A shaker is one of those things that when you first start your fitness journey you feel like you need to get, alongside the protein powder itself of course. We've all been there, looking up protein powders and shakers to start taking our post-workout shakes. Do we go for a shaker with a spring ball or do we go for one with the honeycomb shaped 'grate' in the lid?! Do we for a big one or a small one?! It's all quite a minefield and actually, until you try each one you don't really know what the outcome is going to be.
Here steps in PROMiXX to just throw a little something different into the mix.
When I was asked if I wanted to have a go with the new PROMiXX I couldn't really turn the opportunity down. I've always struggled with protein shakers which usually lead to me not bothering to take any protein post-workout. I find that most shakers tend to leave lumps in my protein because it's not mixing properly. I was interested to see if PROMiXX really did make life that little bit easier and mix my protein properly.
It's not a necessity to consume a protein shake post-workout, especially if you get enough protein from your food intake throughout the day. Personally I do take protein shakes a few times a week, especially if I am working out further from home and don't get the opportunity to eat a good meal within a couple of hours of exercising. Generally, I do get enough from my food choices but not always so I like to top-up my protein levels with a shake.
